What is Veraflox?

Veraflox is a prescription broad-spectrum antibiotic treatment. Veraflox is prescribed by veterinarians to treat abscesses and wounds. Veraflox contains the antibiotic Pradofloxacin. Veraflox is effective against susceptible strains of common bacteria including: Pasteurella multocida, Streptococcus canis, and Staphylococcus felis.

Why do dogs and cats use Veraflox?

Veraflox may also be prescribed for bacterial infections of the respiratory tract or urinary tract. Veraflox is not an effective treatment for viral infections.

What else should I know about Veraflox?

Broad-spectrum antibiotic. Treats skin infections including abscesses and wounds.

What problems could my cat have with Veraflox?

Do not give Veraflox with other drugs containing calcium, iron, or aluminum. These can reduce the amount of Veraflox that is absorbed. Veraflox may cause joint abnormalities in young animals, during pregnancy, or while nursing. Common side effects include vomiting, nausea, and diarrhoea.

How do you use Veraflox?

Veraflox works best when given without food, on an empty stomach. Follow your veterinarian's directions.

What is in Veraflox?

The antibiotic in Veraflox is Pradofloxacin. Pradofloxacin is a fluoroquinolone antibiotic that safely and effectively targets DNA replication in bacteria to stop infections quickly.
