Golden Retriever

While Golden Retrievers do shed a lot, especially in the warmer months, regular brushing can minimise shedding in the house and on clothing. If you're looking for a smart, affectionate, and adorable furry friend to join your family, Golden Retrievers are an excellent choice. 

Cavalier King Charles Spaniel 

Cavalier King Charles Spaniels are an excellent choice for a family pet due to their outgoing, sporty, fearless, and eager to please nature. They are known for their ever-wagging tails and love to be surrounded by humans, as well as spending time outdoors. Despite their sporty nature, they also enjoy lounging indoors and sitting next to family members on the couch.

Labrador Retriever 

Labrador Retrievers are the perfect blend of sporty, playful, affectionate, and loyal. Like Golden Retrievers, they are incredibly friendly, intelligent, trustworthy, and easy-going dogs, making them excellent family pets. Due to their enthusiastic and energetic nature, it's important to provide obedience training and enrichment to prevent destructive behaviour.  

Labrador Retrievers have a tendency to overeat, which can lead to obesity if not managed through age and size-appropriate diets. Their coats require little maintenance, with only light brushing recommended to remove loose hair. 

Labradoodle 

In 1989, the Royal Guide Dogs Association of Australia orchestrated the first intentional breeding of Poodles and Labrador Retrievers to produce hypoallergenic guide dogs. These dogs, known as Labradoodles, have since gained immense popularity as a family pet because of their amiable, warm, and sociable temperament. Labradoodles are happiest in the company of people and display immense affection and loyalty to their owners.

Bulldog

As a cross between a toy poodle and the English Cocker Spaniel, the Cockapoo inherits the desirable traits of both intelligent and well-mannered breeds. This breed is affectionate and loves to be close to its human companions, while also being gentle with children.  

Due to their high food drive, Cockapoos are enthusiastic and easy to train. But they can suffer from separation anxiety, making early training and socialisation with other people and pets essential. With a non-shedding coat, Cockapoos require regular brushing to prevent mats and knots and may also require occasional professional grooming.
