Royal Canin Veterinary Diet Diabetic Cat Dry Food is specifically formulated to help in the management of glucomodulation in diabetic cats.
Recommended for cases of Diabetes Mellitus and a Body Condition Score (BCS) 6/9; Diabetes Mellitus and a BCS 7/9, until glycaemic control has been achieved. Not recommended in case of Growth, gestation, or lactation. This diet is complete and balanced and can be fed long-term. A full health check should be performed by a veterinarian every 6 months.

Feeding instructions:
Water should be available at all times. Batch number, factory registration number and best before date: see information on packaging. To be stored in a cool, dry place. This diet is recommended for all newly diagnosed cases of Diabetes Mellitus until control of clinical signs has been achieved. After that, nutritional management should be guided by the body condition score.* BCS 6 or less: continue Diabetic BCS 7-8-9: transition to Satiety Weight Management *The diabetic patient should be regularly assessed for concurrent disease. If indicated, the nutritional management has to be revised. NOTE: the use of this food may affect the cat's sensitivity to insulin. It is highly recommended that blood glucose and insulin response are monitored when starting or changing the diet so that insulin dosage can be adapted.
